The start date for the Summer Internship Program is June 3rd (flexible)

Currently seeking interns for the following areas:

• Brand Design and Packaging Design
• Web Design

Are you a student, recent graduate, or self-taught professional looking for some real, hands-on experience? You’ve come to the right place!  

We take our internship program seriously and believe this is an opportunity for you to gain some best-in-class design experience. This means you’ll be spending your time working on real projects for real clients. You’ll be participating in meetings, keeping an eye on deadlines, learning how to better manage your time, contributing concepts and speaking about your work. You should assume this experience will be just like a “real” design job, but without all the pressure. Your goal is to watch, learn, ask lots of questions, and find new ways of working.  

This is a paid internship that is 12 weeks long, 4 days per week, and includes an unlimited metrocard if you are in the NYC area. 

You are:

• Currently a junior or senior undergraduate student, a recent graduate, or a self-taught guru looking for more experience in the field of Brand Design, Web Design, or Brand Strategy.
• A conceptual thinker and are comfortable talking about your ideas with other teammates
• A team player who thrives in collaborative settings
• Experienced with Adobe Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Figma) and able to pick up new programs and technologies quickly
• Curious and have a penchant for problem solving
• Excited to take on new challenges
• Not afraid to ask questions and make mistakes
• Self-motivated and able to manage your time
• Intuitive and able to find ways to support the team beyond what you are asked to do

Bonus Skills (not required, but would put you ahead of the pack):

• Experience with motion graphics
• Working knowledge of Figma and ability to oversee web-based brand applications
• Illustration skills
• Experience with photo art direction
• Previous internship experience

As an Intern at Gander, you will:

• Show up on time and ready to help!
• Participate in project kickoffs, strategy meetings, creative brainstorming sessions, and presentations (both internal and with clients)
• Contribute your ideas and be comfortable giving and receiving feedback
• Work closely with the Project Management team and senior teammates to understand how best to manage your workload and support the team
•  Help with research, mood boards, putting together client-facing presentations, or whatever comes for the studio that day. Every day is different :)  
• Learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and processes
  

Compensation: $160/Day
